There are no words  My friend, there never were. Their soft  Absences caught you, us, at hot randoms  Uncertain what followed.   
But still out here, burrowed  In plain view, are the scrawls of life  Not adding up, and adding up to life.  There are no words,   
My friend you never were  Mapped by inks that drew kingdoms,  But perhaps in the dust thrown aloft  By the winding wind   
I’ll stand here  Shorter by design, hot, absent, and  Riddled with rhyme, and in my hand  Some words I might find.

So this is it. My life, stretching out in front of me in an unplanned morass just waiting to be used up.

And served to start with, a gap year:

- Revival of the play I took to the Edinburgh Fringe
- Writing, rehearsing and performing a play in 24 hours
- Writing a novel in a month
- Travelling around Europe on trains for a month
- 2 months' journalism in Shanghai
- Finishing my half-completed novel
- Making money

Well, since you insist. When I was young and foolish (ie 15) I decided that it would be "cool" to have a seciond stud in one ear, so instead of going to get it done professionally, I did it my self with a sterilised starter earring. While watching the Simpsons. It took 20 minutes and worryingly didn't bleed. However i forgot to sterilise my ear. Cut to 10 days later, it's so horribly septic that a lump on my ear lobe is filled with pus, then explodes. That was the end of the second earring. You did say you wanted gore....

Eurr none of the above :p sorry. It's a medication thing, basically staroids are swimming around in my blood stream. Although i did once pierce my own ear. But that's not really relavant at all.

Why can't you? Have you...

- Had unprotected sex with a gay man?
- Ever been given money or drugs for sex?
- Had a blood transfusion?
- Lived outside the UK for a period of 6 months or more whilst courting men with AIDS or hepatitis and injecting yourself with Happy Drugs?
- Taken the easy road out and had a piercing or tattoo?
